2003 Muga Rioja Reserva: Still drinking well

Is there a bottle of wine sitting in your collection that may be past its prime?  On Friday, May 18, I encouraged Twitter followers to open one such bottle in their collections over the weekend to find out.  Today I opened a bottle of 2003 Muga Rioja Reserva.  At first I thought it may have been past its prime, but then it opened up beautifully and was a delicious, peppery-spicy pairing with herb crusted beef.  Cheers to well-made wine that bottle ages nicely!
