The Breckenridge Bucks hosted the Colorado Rampage for the Bucks’ final regular home game series on Valentine’s Day Weekend. The Bucks won the series 5-2 and 7-5. Saturday night drew one of the biggest crowds of the season for a fun night of hockey, Valentine sweets, music from U4 Balance, and Bucky, the team’s mascot, who threw stuffed animals into the stands. The energy in the Stephen C. West Ice Arena was high, and a great time was had by all!
Fans raised a glass to the Bucks with beer from sponsor Breckenridge Brewery and a selection of wines from Guy Drew Vineyards in Cortez, Colorado: 2014 Unoaked Chardonnay, 2014 Dry Riesling, 2012 Cabernet Franc, 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2011 Meritage. The flavorful wines were popular and sold out quickly.
The Lost Cajun provided Seafood Étouffée. Fan favorites beef chili, buffalo wings, and pulled pork sliders came from Whole Foods Market in Frisco. Downstairs at Eric’s and Northside donated cheese and pepperoni pizzas. The Bucks’ hot chocolate and coffee from Mug Shot Café kept fans warm.
This weekend the 26-14 Bucks face off against the Glacier Yetis in the first round of the post-season playoffs. Stop by the Stephen C. West Ice Arena in Breckenridge for heart-stopping hockey, top-notch Colorado wine and food, $1.00 beers, and a postgame concert featuring DJ Burt Reynoldz and DJ Feistner. Go Bucks!
Until our next adventure in wine and food…
