WTF or Wine That’s Fun is the new label for Michelle Cleveland, winemaker for Colorado’s Creekside Cellars. The Evergreen-based winery makes a number of wines under its Creekside Cellars label. WTF represents a departure from the traditional with a red blend that is food-friendly and fun. It invites the taster to “swirl, sniff, sip, relax, enjoy.”
Its bright ruby color and refreshing burst of cherries greets you in the glass. A few swirls reveal oak and vanilla. It is light and easy-drinking with a juicy balance of fruit, acid, and tannin. There are just enough tannins to give the wine a solid structure that complements roast chicken, cured meats, and a tray of chocolate treats.
WTF will be featured at the upcoming EAT LOCAL, DRINK LOCAL – PAIRING COLORADO WINES AND FOOD on Thursday, April 24, where Second Home Kitchen + Bar’s Executive Chef Jason Brumm and Swirl Girl Kendra Anderson team up to celebrate the flavors and textures of the spring season.
Until our next adventure in wine and food…
