Colorado Wine Week is off to a fantstic start! The festivities began today with a patio party at Row 14 in Denver. It was a great place to sample the first of the many Colorado wine pairings for $15 at area restaurants. Row 14 offered a glass of Guy Drew Riesling paired with Colorado’s Alamosa Striped Bass Sashimi with house raisins, Ollin Farms arugula, and pesto…an A+ pairing. Also, a glass of BookCliff Vineyards Cabernet Franc paired with Superior Farms Lamb Sliders with Strohauer onion jam and black garlic remoulade. This pairing was a solid A, but I preferred the wine and the sliders on their own and ever-so-slightly less so when consumed together. In all, a bang-up way to begin the week! Tomorrow it’s off to Colt & Gray after the day job to sample Colorado wine cocktails.
Stop by Row 14 to sample these two must-try Colorado wine pairings. Row 14 chef Jensen Cummings has created some top-notch eats to taste with the top-notch wines. Cheers!
